In der Regel ist dabei der Haarbedarf nicht so groß, so dass auch nur ein kleines Areal am Hinterkopf oder seitlich abrasiert werden muss. Dieses Spenderareal ist im Anschluss an die Behandlung oft mühelos vom Resthaar zu überdecken.
